Creator of the infamous Ludo da Portovenere and the dumpy, grumpy Bob Robbins, I write historical crime novels set during the 17th Century and World War II. Each story weaves fictional characters into some surprising real events.

Currently, I’m working on a Viking-age historical fantasy series for younger – and not so younger – readers.

After travelling widely – I’ve visited or lived in most of the locations in my novels – I’m now settled in my husband’s home province of Andalucía, Spain.
